Many Victorian rings feature “the language of the stones”. These rings most commonly spell out either “DEAREST” or “REGARD” using the first letter of each set gemstone. For example, “REGARD” would feature a Ruby-Emerald- Garnet-Amethyst-Ruby-Diamond sequence. This style of ring was very popular, and characteristic of the highly sentimental era.

This ring is made of solid cast sterling silver and is embellished with brilliant-cut amethyst, yellow and blue sapphires, emerald, and pink tourmaline gemstones, spelling “ASSET”.
